AP Human Geography
How people organize space, from population and culture to cities, agriculture, and economic development.
11 units · 129 lessons · 377 practice items · 74 videos
AP Human Geography studies how people organize themselves across space. You begin with geographic perspectives and the tools of the field, then work through population, demographics, and migration. Later units cover cultural patterns, the political organization of territory, agriculture and rural land use, industrialization and economic development, and the growth of cities and the pressures that come with urbanization. The models introduced early return as lenses on each new topic.
This course is built for reading and note-taking: most lessons center on structured notes, discussion prompts, and map analysis, with short video segments running through each unit. Graded practice concentrates in the section reviews and assessments rather than in every lesson, and semester exams sit on the course map as units of their own.
This course follows the College Board's published AP Human Geography framework.
