AP Psychology follows the College Board's five units. It begins with the biology of behavior: heredity and environment, the nervous system and the neuron, the brain, sleep, and the senses. It then moves through cognition, including perception, thinking, memory, and intelligence; development and learning; social psychology and personality; and mental and physical health, including stress, psychological disorders, and treatment. A science practices toolkit at the start teaches research design, research ethics, and statistics, and every later unit puts those skills back to work.

Each lesson is built on checked research: a featured study, what it found, and how later evidence has held up. Practice looks like the exam. Multiple choice questions carry their own scenario, graph, or data table, and both free response types, the article analysis question and the evidence based question, are taught step by step and then practiced as timed writing. Every unit ends in a test, and the course closes with a Semester 1 final and a full length practice exam.

This course follows the College Board's published AP Psychology framework.
