Allowing Contemplanda on a school network

A network that filters the web can block Contemplanda until it allows the addresses below. School or district IT staff can add them to the web filter's allowlist for the student devices and accounts that need them.
These are the addresses of Contemplanda's own sites. When a school delivers a course on its own site, students open it there, and that school can give you its addresses.
Addresses to allow
Filters write a domain and its subdomains in different ways. In Chrome's own URL allowlist, contemplanda.com alone covers every subdomain. Filters that mark subdomains with a leading star need both entries: *.contemplanda.com for the subdomains, and contemplanda.com for the address without one. Enter each address by name, in the form your filter takes, never as an IP address.

Course storage

It holds the lesson figures and photographs on direct.contemplanda.com, and the files a student attaches to a message or report or hands in for a lesson.
If it is blocked, lessons still open, but their figures and photographs do not appear and uploads fail.
This one address is enough. The rest of supabase.co is not needed.
Microsoft sign-in

Students sign in to direct.contemplanda.com with a Microsoft account from the school that ordered their course seat. That school can be a different organization from the one whose network they are on.
The first six addresses are the sign-in page's own. The last is used when a school asks a student to set up security information at sign-in.
A network that already allows Microsoft 365 sign-in will usually allow these.
Lesson videos

Lesson videos from YouTube play in its privacy-enhanced player, which loads from these addresses.
A video a school keeps in its own Microsoft 365 plays from that school's SharePoint address instead, which the school can give you.
The videos fall under the network's YouTube settings: where YouTube is blocked or limited, so are they. When a video cannot play, the lesson still opens, and its text, figures and questions work.
Microsoft keeps the full list of the addresses Microsoft 365 sign-in uses in its table of Microsoft 365 web addresses (endpoint sets 56 and 59).
Signing in
Your district shares no student records with Contemplanda and sets up no accounts, single sign-on or rostering, unless it orders course seats itself. When a school other than yours orders a course seat for a student, that school provides the account, and Contemplanda receives only what that school provides.
Some networks allow Microsoft sign-in only to their own organization (Microsoft calls this tenant restrictions). On such a network, a student whose school account belongs to another organization cannot sign in until that organization is allowed too. The domain of the student's school email address names that organization.
The course preview
The course preview opens sample lessons with no account and keeps no record of a visitor's work. It needs only www.contemplanda.com, plus the video addresses above for a lesson's video, so it shows whether lessons display on a school device before a student has an account. It does not test direct.contemplanda.com, course storage or sign-in. To check those, open direct.contemplanda.com on a student device: its sign-in page should appear.
